School Dismissed Monday, September 1 for Labor Day.
School will be dismissed on Monday, September 1, for the Labor Day holiday.
* Important Calendar Change *
Dear Parents, In an effort to facilitate good communication between parents and teachers this year, we have decided to make changes to our fall parent/teacher conferences. Conferences will be held for all students. In order to accommodate the increased number of parents participating, we will need to change the date and time that was published on the school calendar.
Conferences will now be held on Thursday, September 18, rather than Friday, September 19. Friday, September 19, will now be a regular, full day of school with normal dismissal times. On Thursday, September 18, we will dismiss the classes using the following schedule: 4K- 5K students at 11:40 1st - 2nd graders at 11:45 3rd - 4th graders at 11:50 5th - 12th graders at 12:00 Your student's teacher will be contacting you very soon to set up a time to meet. There will be 15 minute conferences, and they will be scheduled between 12:30 and 6:00 pm. If more time is required, a follow-up conference will be set up for a future date. If you have a 5th-12th grade student please use the following link (or copy and paste it into your web browser) to take a 3 question survey to help us with the planning and organizing of the conference day: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/parent-conferences-als Thank you, Mr. Moseley

Important Dates: Mark Your Calendars!
Parents, Let me start by saying I hope you and your family have had a great summer. We are looking forward to the beginning of a brand new school year. It is always a blessing to be a part of what God is doing through Abundant Life School. I want to let you know of a few important events over the next two weeks as we prepare for school.
Saturday, August 9: OFA Workday. Each year we work to help get the campus ready for the upcoming year. The workday will be 8am-2pm. There will be jobs of all kinds, both indoors and outdoors. Feel free to bring tools and cleaning supplies in order to help get all of the necessary jobs completed. Bring the whole family since it is a great time to reconnect with old friends and get to know new families.
Tuesday, August 12, 7:00 and 7:30pm: New Family and 5th Grade Orientations. These orientation meetings will be conducted in the Band Hall. At 7pm we will provide information and address questions of all kindergarten through 4th grade new families. At 7:30pm we will provide information and address questions of all middle school and high school families. All 5th grade families (new and returning) are requested to attend in order to learn about all the changes that come along with middle school.
Sunday, August 17, 2:00-3:30pm: Open House. All students and families are invited for this annual event. Open House is a drop-in event that gives families an opportunity to meet their students' teacher(s). Elementary students may visit their classrooms and drop off school supplies. 5th-7th grade students will receive their schedule in the Main building lunch room, and 8th-12th grade students will receive their schedule in the Gym. After receiving their schedule and locker assignment, families will be free to visit with teachers in their classrooms and put items in their lockers.
I look forward to seeing you at these events, but most of all, I look forward to serving your family throughout the year as we support your family's efforts to raise up godly children. Sincerely, Justin Moseley Superintendent
